Here are some photos of the places I run to and from and over. They're beautiful beyond words, so see for yourself.

THE RUN TO THE FAR SIDE

That's me. Soaking wet. With a tight hamstring. You can just feel my joy.

FROM THE TOP OF
KIRKHAM HILL

That's Marin County in the background.

We're just 45 blocks from the Pacific Ocean

The Inner and Outer Sunset, Golden Gate Park and the Ocean

FROM THE TOP OF
FUNSTON ST

This is halfway up the hill I run on Wednesdays. I was about to vomit when I took this picture.

That's my downtown. From six miles and who knows how far up

That red thing in the middle is Golden Gate Bridge.

Mt. Sutro. I'm forever in its shadow.

Could you believe this is a view of the city?

FROM ALL AROUND
GOLDEN GATE PARK

A tangled weave of bark that I run past every day.

The famous GGP carousel. By this time, my head is usually spinning faster.

What's a park by the beach without a windmill? By the way, check out the overcast skies behind it. Not every day is paradise.

The Conservatory of Flowers. This photo doesn't do it justice.

FROM UP AND AROUND
LAND'S END

When you have a view of the Cliff House like this, you tend to ignore the pain.

Just a lonely boat sailing in a gorgeous bay.

You can't really see it, but this is The Legion of Honor. For a better view, rent the movie "Vertigo".
